Today, I will show you a super quick way to turn your ribbons into photo hangers. Nothing complicated but it’s really cute.
After you create and flatten your ribbon, place 2 copies at an angle above the photo you want to “hang” on your page. You can also hang other things like frames, tags, and chunks of paper.
Now, make a selection with polygonal lasso tool as shown.
In Photoshop, you can use this selection as a mask. In elements, invert the selection and hit delete to remove the excess. Repeat on the other ribbon.
All that’s left is to “fasten” it to the page – you can use buttons, stitching, brads, staples or eyelets for this. I put a fancy button on top and staples on the sides. Add your drop shadows and you’re all done! Easy peasy.
